The cup has a fully rounded traditional shape and a detailed handle design – the cup design is known as ‘Leigh Shape’.
All pieces are in excellent condition and offer everyday elegance as well as special occasion appeal.
Colclough has a rich heritage beginning with H. J. Colclough in 1897, which later became Colclough China Ltd. in 1937 and Booths & Colclough Ltd. in 1948. Colclough became part of the Ridgway Potteries Ltd. Group in 1955 and retained its printed backstamp. Ridgway Potteries ceased to trade in 1964.
While the actual production date is unknown, Colclough’s Coppelia range boasts an age of no less than 60 years.
